This adorable card case was custom-made as a gift for someone who loves squirrels! as such I carved the back of it with this cute squirrel I drew. My customer chose to go with a beautiful dark brown dye and matching thread.
A gun-metal black snap on the front keeps everything securely closed and highlights the classic beauty of the leather. Believe it or not but this card case gave me the opportunity to learn something new! Namely a new stitch. The square corners on the edges were a challenge as I had to find a way to stitch leather at a 90degree rather than back to back.
The end result is a little reminiscent of leather cigar cases and has a beautifully clean and classic finish. it will comfortably hold a STACK of business cards all the while keeping them safe and snug in this classic case.
