This set of coasters was made for a fishing guide in Canmore, AB. This set of five coasters features four different types of fish that are native to the area and one mountain fly-fisherman. I also made a little holster to hold them all together.
All the coasters are dyed in Dark brown with black antiquing. This little fisherman was a lot of fun to make, but was also a bit of a challenge. Getting these small details was a testament to my carving skills and how far I’ve come since my first project.

All the fish are also dyed dark brown; however, the fish themselves are dyed and painted to look like the fish they represent. This brook trout is my personal favorite. I love how the blue rings on red spots came out!
