The Bear Case

I made this case for a gentleman for his cell phone. I carved it with a grizzly bear face and some classic filigree. I kept the main body raw and only dyed some parts in dark brown.

I made a friction-fit closure so that there is no metal hardware that could break his screen. I stitched the whole thing with a neutral cream-colored thread, and I added his initials on the bottom part.

with a belt loop on the back, this case is made to be worn at the hip. You can easily slide the cell in and out of the case and there is no risk of accidentally sitting on it. plus the raw leather will patina over time to a beautifully rich color.
