This small hatched sheath was an experiment that turned out great! unlike a traditional axe and hatchet sheath, the curved shape of the blade allowed me to try a different style.
This sheath is based on the same design I use for my knife sheath, the axe is meant to slip out from the top of the sheath. Two snaps keep it secured in place.
I kept it clean and simple and dyed it with a saddle tan dye. Both the edges and the thread are a dark green color. With the brass hardware, this build has a cool rustic woodsman vibe!
