This Custom Knife sheath was carved and dyed with a local mountain range called Mount Rundle. It also represents a bunch of firsts for me! My customer trusted me with this project and personally I think it turned out great!
- It was my first full-color pictorial carving,
- It was my first time dyeing with custom mixed colors
- It was my first time making a lined sheath
- It was my first time “spot” painting leather!
The main body of the sheath was dyed in a dark brown dye. I added a brass snap to match the knife and painted the sun in a bright gold that really ties the whole thing together!
