This is the last knife and sheath combo from the first set of three hand-made knives that I made. This knife also had a black textured handle but I wanted to do something more classic than the last one I made, but I didn’t want to do a generic filigree.
Finally, I decided on a deer skull with an antler that wrapped right around the sheath. I added a textured background to the section with the skull and dyed it black to match the sheath. the skull itself is painted with leather-specific paints so it won’t change colors as the sheath is used.
I dyed the main body in Dark brown and stitched it with a neutral cream-colored thread. the silver snap ties the whole thing together. you can find all the knife and sheath combos I still have available here:
